Weeks before being asked to write the script for “Crackhead Jesus: The Movie”, so that it could be produced by ten international movie-making teams, as part of a 72-Hour Filmmaking Competition, taking place during the Delray Beach Film Festival, Victor-Hugo Vaca II rewrote the screenplay, incorporating the serial-killer theme into the opening of the controversial short, about the origins of modern-art-gonzo-journalism, which was ultimately awarded best film honors, at the frenzied South Florida movie-making competition.
